"...if there is an answer, it is to remind myself that there is uncertainty in everything, and that is good because then i will discover something new."

...Me:

I am a 22 year old girl from Orange County, California. I graduated college in December 2010 and was sort of flailing around, unsure of what to do with myself and what it is I wanted out of life. The only goal I was certain I wanted to accomplish was becoming fluent in Chinese and going to China. I figured now is a good time as any (since I wasn't doing much anyways) to search for & seize the opportunity.

Love: language & learning about different cultures, my family & friends
Food: pasta, chicken, shrimp, desserts, milk tea, frappuccinos
Music: pop, pop punk, pop rock, rock, punk, Asian music, basically everything
TV: I watch tons of shows & dramas (American, Canadian, British, Asian)

...the Blog:

Aside from my daily ramblings, I hope this blog will become a useful guide for people traveling to China for the first time and aren't fluent in Chinese. Although I'll only be in China for a mere 6 months, I want to incorporate tips and reviews on restaurants/food stalls, stores, and products.

...the Blog Name:

"Being Angie" isn't very original (I know) but, it's inspired by a Canadian TV Show called "Being Erica" that I absolutely love. When you first meet Erica, she's a wreck, she has no drive, her life has no direction AND it's filled with regrets. And as the episodes pass, she starts learning about her own capabilities and finding a path for herself.

I feel like although it's a simple title, it somewhat reflects my life and hopefully my future will become more clear to me after this journey.
